Temper, temper

My temper has taken a turn for the worse lately. I'm stressed as hell about everything-my eyebrows and eyelashes have actually started falling out, I'm not sleeping, my eyes are sore and bloodshot and I feel terrible. So I'm in a really bad mood, which my mum points out "geez you're in a bad mood!", yes, and? Am I not allowed to be in a foul mood? I'm pretty even tempered for the most part but I'm having my first self-inflicted life upheaval in around 10 years, I think I'm entitled to some moodiness. Cranky? Me?

I have to go to the doctor to renew my script which is always a rigmarole, including awkward questions and long shocked silences. I really don't need my doctor making me feel like even more of a freak.

We're heading over to the uni this friday to consult with our course conveners, my sister refuses to put my niece in childcare or let her stay at a friends for the day (not because she's opposed to these things generally but because I suggested that having a whining, nagging, temper tantrum throwing 10 year old at a university information day might be not a good idea) so that should make the whole day a misery and awkward to boot.

I'm also feeling embarrassed about asking about the student exchange and I can't quiet put my finger on why........

I hope everyone has a happier new year than me so far,
Vanessa

  1. Starting school is really doing a number on your nerves. It's an anxiety provoking life event for sure, but I'm sure you'll do well once you get into the rhythm of things.

In regards to the student exchange, you'll just have to put those feelings aside. Going abroad is one of the motivating factors in going back to school for you.

Ditch your sister and the kid. You don't need the added stress.

I just hoping for an uneventful New Year.

    1. It really is LOL I just hope I survive with me eyebrows intact!

Yeah it's silly, I hope they don't look down on me for being so keen to go on exchange.

I wish I could! I laughed when I read that :) It'll be my sisters show for sure, I just don't know why she has to be such a pain :(

Well I hope you have a happy one! :))

  2. Oh I have been in a foul mood too, also largely because of my sister. But what you going to do? They're family. Even though you guys are going together, can you go see your course convener individually? Set up separate appointments maybe? That might make the day a little better.

    1. Ah it's catching! Your sister in aus or do you have another (more irritating ;) ) one? I wish my sister was a bit further away, next door is too close!
Hopefully we can see our course conveners separately but if not she'll be the one whose embarrassed.

    1. Maybe she's feeling a bit stressed traveling with the baby? That could make anyone cranky LOL

      Same to you!
